Depeyrot-629. Struck towards the end of the Carolingian dynasty at a time when the French nation-state was in its formative beginnings. A very attractive example of the issue with medium tone accentuating the devices, and with exceptionally strong lettering in the legends. No evidence of clipping or of having ever been bent, and quite scarce as such. NGC AU-58.
