FRANCE. Honors to Turenne Bronze Medal, 1800. CHOICE UNCIRCULATED.
50.19 mm; 56.75 gms. Bramsen-71. By H. Auguste. Half length armored bust of Henri de La Tour d'Auvergne-Bouillon, Viscount of Turenne with legend around; Reverse: Nine line inscription commemorating the occasion of the transfer of Turenne's remains from the Jardin des Plantes to Les Invalides by order of Napoleon where they have stayed to the present day. A handful of small contact marks can be noted but predominately the surfaces are a choice glossy mahogany with a few darker spots, one thing to note is the reverse field at about 11 o'clock has what appears at first glance to be a light scratch or dig is in fact some kind of strike through or error from the time of minting as evidenced by the consistent luster and surfaces observed. Only the lightest sign of handling on high points and rim. CHOICE UNCIRCULATED.
