59.39 X 99.19 mm; 193.57 gms. BDM-Vol. VI pgs. 692/700. By Ovide Yencesse. Young ancient Greek man in worker's shift seated left at minting table in mid-strike; Reverse: Reproduction of both sides of a Syracuse Decadrachm atop laurel branch in upper frame, lower portion of plate is blank where it is usually inscribed for the firm of Duval & Janvier. On lower edge is the serial number "127" the word "BRONZE" and a triangle privy mark. Dusty golden patina with some darker portion and some mild slide friction on high points. A handsome piece displaying the dawn of minting. EXTREMELY FINE.
