GREAT BRITAIN. Battle of Toulouse Bronze Medal, 1814. CHOICE UNCIRCULATED.
40.85 mm; 30.08 gms. Eimer-1042; BHM-789. By R. Gayrard and N. G. A. Brenet. Struck 1820 by Edward Thomason for James Mudie's series of British Military Victory medals. Head of Britannia left wearing crested Corinthian helmet; Duke of Wellington standing at center holding captured French battle standard in left hand and laurel in right over pile of military trophies. Light milk chocolate surfaces without contact marks or hairlines, the fields bearing iridescent cobalt and fuchsia hues. Some very mild rub can be observed at the high point of Britannia's hair but no actual wear present. CHOICE UNCIRCULATED.
