Uniformed bust of Crown Prince Hirohito (1901-1987, Emperor from 1926), nearly facing with inscription above; Reverse: the Battleship Katori with doves to either side, superimposed on globe. Osaka Mint hallmark on edge. Prince Hirohito was the first Japanese crown prince to travel abroad, taking a six month tour of Europe including, as well as the United Kingdom, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium. Even milk chocolate patina, the obverse slightly mottled. Choice surfaces without contact marks or overt signs of handling. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.
