30 mm; 10.35 gms. Basso-unlisted. SCARCE. Issued during the Japanese Occupation in 1943 commemorating the "Exhibit of Rizal's Writings in the Tagalog Language". Typical bust of Rizal and with the years "1861- 1896" on the obverse with the inscription written in "Baybayin" (an ancient form of the Philippine language). A touch of weakness in centers, light hairlines on reverse. Modest discoloration as might be expected given the age of the medal and the environment from which it originated from. EXTREMELY FINE.
