ROMANIA. Order of the Crown, Grand Officer Breast Star, ND (Instituted 1881). CHOICE ALMOST UNCIRCULATED
Vernon-131; Werlich-1066. Consists of a 66 mm eight-pointed, multi-rayed silver star with an enameled central disc with King Carol's cipher and the inscription: "PRIN NOI INSINE / 14. MARTIE 1881". The reverse bears a blank central disc, with a single hinged tunic pin marked 1003, a "M N" monogram, "43", and a convex triangle with crown and "C" assay mark. After a space, "SILBER" and "CFZ "marks, each within ovals. Second type (1932-1947) with cipher at center and crowns at side of central disc. The enamels are complete and free of flaws. An exceptionally nice example of the badge that should draw considerable interest. CHOICE ALMOST UNCIRCULATED
