MIXED LOTS. Mixed World Coins, ca. 15th-20th Century. VERY FINE-BRILLIANT PROOF.
51 pieces in lot. Quite a wide range of coinage from medieval bronze and small silver to very common mid-20th century silver issues from Europe. The real attraction is the assortment of Andorra silver 50 Diners crowns from the early 1960s, in original mint issued tissue paper and cellophane. Total of 14 pieces including Napoleon, Charlemagne, Bishop Benlloch and Justice House issues, struck in proof with a bit of peripheral tone on a few, but overall in choice condition. Some duplication with all of the issues listed in Bruce, and modest mintages. Several other better pieces in the lot, including an 1797 British 2 Pence in never-dropped Fine or better, a heavily circulated 1788 Barbados penny, and several circulated 1/48 Rupee coins from Ceylon. Approximate retail value of $800. Inspection advised, SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. VERY FINE-BRILLIANT PROOF.

From the Thomas P. Warfield Collection.

Estimate: $300.00- $500.00
