This elaborately detailed effigy vessel is 4-1/2” high and depicts a seated monkey, with tail curled up the back, clutching a stuffed bag in his lap. He is wearing a mantle covered with round uncas and is adorned with large ear ornaments. In excellent condition, with good paint and strong mineral deposits. Ex Gallatin estate. Value range: $417 - $600.
