Rhodiapolis was a town 4 km to the north of the modern Turkish district capital Kumluca. Scholars suppose that it was originally founded by Rhodian colonists. The minting of these plinthophoric drachms started after the liberation of Lycia from Rhodian rule and was continued until the Mithradatic war.
