Testbanknoten: France: Test Banknote printed by BDF on watermark banknote paper of OBERTHUR FIDUCIAIRE, unifae type "BALZAC" with overprint "Echantillon", printed in the early 1970s for color and machine tests. The Balzac portrait was originally designed for an use on a real banknote but was not issued lateron so the company used it for their printing tests. There are several color types available on the market. This one is a red/orange type. The note is in great crisp condition with only 4 slight dints in paper, never folded, no holes or tears. Condition: aUNC.
