The so-called "horses" are coins of great rarity and charm both to the scene that appears on obverse where the king comes out against an invisible enemy, the type adopted by other mints in France and Italy, both for the artistic value as it is supposed the engraver, probably of French origin, it was inspired by manuscripts and seals. Moreover, the political message by the king is evident: Charles using this image, wanted to celebrate the victory over the Svevi or his participation in the Seventh Crusade.
