Hadrian (117-138), Sestertius, Rome, AD 125-128; AE (g 28,94; mm 33; h 6); HADRIANVS - AVGVSTVS, laureate bust r., drapery on l. shoulder, Rv. COS - III, Virtus standing l., holding spear and parazonium; in field, S - C. RIC 638; C 356.
Dark patina, well centered, good very fine - about extremely fine.

Restoration and cleaning report: this sestertius came to my attention with a green patina which showed morphological characteristics and crystallization due to re-patination. Under stereoscopic magnification (100X) was mechanically removed this layer, showing the original surface of the coin.
I believe that this accurate cleaning operation returned the coin to its delicate and refined definition.
