A large Egyptian faience Djed Pillar, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, which represents the god Osiris, with sharp detail and central vertical plinth down the back. A large and very detailed example as found, the glaze is now white with heavy deposits from resin. H: 3 7/8 (9.8 cm). Intact, minor chip to one of the tiers.
