Watch List notes:

MEDALS BY SUBJECT, Sport, Angling, Red Spinner Angling Society, Silver Medal, 1937, for an 11lb 8oz Trout at Loch Rannoch, fish and reel design, 36.5mm, 28.35g, suspension loop and ring. One time polished, very fine.
The trout hardly seems worthy of a medal when compared with the British Record of over 31lbs 12ozs (39 inches long, girth 25.5 inches and the tail measured 11 inches), caught 15 March 2002, in Loch Awe. The Red Spinner Angling Society is still active.
