BRITISH COINS, Henry VI (first reign, 1422-1461), Silver Groat, London mint, pinecone mascle issue (1431-1432/3), facing crowned bust in tressure with fleurs on cusps, initial mark cross fleury, rev long cross patteé, inscriptions in twin concentric circles, trefoil of pellets in each inner angle, pinecones and mascle in legend both sides, initial mark plain cross, 3.72g (N 1460; S 1874). Light scratch on neck, very fine, toned.
