KINGS of MACEDON. Antigonos I Monophthalmos. As Strategos of Asia, 320-306/5 BC, or king, 306/5-301 BC. AR Tetradrachm (27mm, 16.78 g, 12h). In the name and types of Alexander III. Abydos mint. Struck circa 310-301 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, head of Ammon right; monogram below throne. Price 1549; ADM II Series XII, 180 (same dies). VF, toned, large scrape across Herakles' ear and lion skin, long cut across eagle and Zeus' torso on the reverse.
