COMITI AVG NN, Sol standing left, star in right field, PLN in exergue (RIC --; Huvelin 50-50a; CT 7.03.032 - this coin), good very fine.

The martial busts of the right star series allude to Constantine's forthcoming military campaign against Maxentius. The helmeted types without the laurel wreath are quite rare. This coin is illustrated on the CT plate.
