Celtic, Cantii, uninscribed coinage, (c.60-20? BC), gold Stater, 5.48g, 'Thumbs Up' type, blank die with banding, rev. horse right, hand holding corn ear and annulets above, wheel below with pellet and annulet (ABC 186; VA 1507; S.35), light contact marks and with a little weakness to high points, however, a remarkably well struck and full piece, certainly one of the finest of the thirteen known; a premium example, nearly extremely fine, extremely rare.
