Henry IV (1399-1413), Light coinage, 1412-13, Penny, 0.89g, London, facing bust with bushy hair, annulet to left and pellet to right of crown, slipped trefoil on breast, rev. long cross, with trefoil of pellets in quarters, civi tas lon don, slipped trefoil before lon, Roman n's (Potter Type II, Die 2 obv./Rev.-N.1363A; S.1732), a field find with some contact marks and light grazes, slight buckle at 1 o'clock and these surfaces lightly cleaned, however, a superb specimen of this exceedingly rare coinage, much detail remaining on portrait, nearly full HENRIC, all essential devices clear, good very fine, London pennies of Henry IV a key piece for the collector of late medieval.
