PHRYGIA, Apamea. Circa 166-133 BC. AR Tetradrachm (27mm, 13.01 g, 12h). Cistophoric series. Dated RY 20 of Attalus II of Pergamum (140/39 BC). Cista mystica with serpent; all within ivy wreath / Bowcase with serpents; K (date) and civic monogram to left, ΔI and flute to right, AP in coil of right serpent. Kleiner & Noe Series 26 var.; SNG von Aulock 3454 var.; HGC 7, 656 var.; DCA 319 var. (all year 21). VF, toned. High relief reverse. A seemingly unpublished variant.
