Celtic, East Wiltshire, uninscribed coinage, (c.50-20 BC), gold Quarter Stater, 1.19g, 'Savernake Wheel' type, wreath with pelleted bar intersecting, abstract hair above, crescents below, rev. horse right, spiral sun and [charioteer's arms] above, wheel below, dispersed annulets in field (ABC 2101; VA-; S.48), dies possibly rusty when struck, perhaps a little clogging of dies also, whereas, a pleasing strike, rounded flan, very fine/nearly extremely fine, excessively rare.
