Celtic, North Thames, Eastern, uninscribed coinage, (c.60-20 BC), gold Quarter Stater, 1.35g, 'Maldon wheel' type, wreath incorporating 'wings' in front of face and wheel attached to spike below, rev. horse right, sun above, pellet boss below, wheel in front and uncertain design behind (ABC 2234; VA-; S.48 var.), lustre to areas, toned and nearly extremely fine, excessively rare, at least as fine as ABC plate coin.
