Celtic, Trinovantes and Catuvellauni, uninscribed coinage, (c.60-20 BC), gold Stater, 5.57g, 'Middle Whaddon Chase' type, crossed wreaths, opposing voided crescents in centre, symbols in quarters, rev. horse right, wing motif and pellets above, wheel below (ABC 2442; VA 1487-1; S.32), corresponding weak striking before horse, otherwise well detailed, some lustre, nearly extremely fine, scarce.
