KM-4.1; Mars-C3; Prid-166a. Tied for finest graded at PCGS and NGC. First of the specific date we have sold. All of the Hong Kong proof coinage from the Queen Victoria era is considered scarce to rare. The piece offered here is no exception, particularly at this exalted grade level. Traces of peachy-orange original surfaces peer through the brown tone at the obverse edges. Fabulous sheen to the tone with deep iridescent color that is heavy in the blue spectrum. The reverse has considerably less tone overall. Sharply struck, a coin that should meet the most demanding requirements any collector of the series would have. NGC PROOF-64 BN.
