10 pieces in lot. Face and back proofs. A complete denomination proof set of these Yuan Shih-kai portrait vignette series and the first of which we have handled. This group is one of several rare sets we are offering of some of the most desirable Chinese banknote designs available. Shown with all face designs in black ink mounted to card stock with additional top sheet selvage with banking information printed. Back proofs are noticed in different colors with strikingly detailed impression of each with the One, Five and 10 Yuan pieces mounted to card and the 50 and 100 backs printed on loose India paper. Only a few highly minor edge distractions are observed and do not compromise the overall appeal. This set is one that will likely not be offered again in the near future and should be carefully considered by those interested. Uncirculated.
