Anhwei. Empire 20 Cents Year 27 (1901) VF30 PCGS, KM-Y43.5. A famous rarity among provincial minors, invisible to the market for decades, with only a single example having been confirmed in the Standard Catalog of World Coins, that example bringing $2,420 in a 1991 D.K.E Ching auction. This coin, the second example to surface, is a die match to the KM plate, and if anything appears to be finer in condition, with no areas of strike weakness and all-over even gray tone. Typical wear for the grade, as well as a mark here and there helps to further define the VF designation, with an overall look that is truly wholesome. One of the greatest treasures available for the collector of Imperial minors, and as such, one that will certainly be furiously bid on for the honor of ownership.

Estimate: 8000-12000 USD
