Tibet. Qian Long Sho Year 61 (1796) XF45 NGC, Lhasa mint, 36 beads, KM-Y72.2, L&M-640A. A very rare issue of Qian Long minted either just before his abdication in February of 1796 or, just as likely, in the time it took for word of his abdication to reach the mint in Lhasa. It is well-preserved with original surfaces and handsome tone over hints of residual mint luster.From the Gary L. Damkoehler Collection of Tibetan Coins
