Meiji Yen Year 16 (1883) MS63 NGC, KM-YA25.2, JNDA 01-10. Another conditionally rare issue (as are many of the pre-1890 1 Yen pieces), and the finest example of this date we have offered. This piece has full luster, with a bold strike and light contact marks. Light silvery-gray patina adds a nice touch. None have been certified finer be NGC.
