Rama IV copper Pattern Baht ND (1860) MS64 Brown NGC, KM-Pn11. Plain Edge - Medal Alignment. Obv. Crown with rays flanked by umbrellas with floral backgrounds. Rev. Elephant within Chakra, eight stars around. A touch softly struck in the center of the reverse, otherwise the strike is bold, with even maroon color and a few minor contact marks. Extremely rare and Ex: Spink-Taisei Coin Auction # 4 (Coins of Thailand, not mentioned in the catalog, but this was the Irving Goodman collection of Thailand coins), sold on February 11, 1988 in Singapore, Lot 40. The original lot card from that auction is included, although it mistakenly showed lot 400, and not lot 40. There were only 159 lots in the sale and this cataloger just happened to be in attendance at that sale.
