*Italy, Apollo with the Three Graces, uniface lead medal by Pompeo Leoni (the reverse of a medal of Don Carlos, son of Philip II of Spain, died 1568), Apollo standing left, naked but for cloak billowing around head, holding bow and arrows in left hand and a group of the Three Graces on his extended right hand; trees and lyre at his feet, 67mm (cf. Attwood 118), a very fine early cast (£300 - 400)
