Like the popular Chung Hwa Republic gold notes, these notes were issued by the Nationalist movement and the Tongmenghui in order to raise funds for the revolutionary movement. While the aforementioned notes (printed in English) were sold to sympathizers in the United States and other English speaking countries, notes such as this one were sold to French-speaking territories including Southeast Asia. The signature of the Father of the Country Sun Wen (Sun Yat Sen) appears. Original issuing ink stamps grace the English side. PMG About Uncirculated 50 Net, with paper damage and stains.
