Hong Kong Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China $5 1.5.1924 Pick 48
A grandly sized note from the bank which is known today as Standard Chartered. Like today's situation, notes from other issuing banks formed only a small part of the circulating currency, which was dominated by notes issued from the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, accounting for the rarity of them today. PMG Very Fine 25 with minor rust and ink visible.
