A short-lived bank that has evaded our auctions until now. The PMG label states that this ABNCo Proof is unaffected by issues in the selvage. Many Proofs have these traits such as handwriting, previous mounting, and a clipped corner. The handwriting, in pencil, not only dates the Proof to May 6, 1918, but also tells us the names of the three inks that would be used in the production of the face of this note.
