Narino Figure from Colombia, ca. 850 - 1500 AD. A fine seated figure from the Capuli Cultural Complex in the Narino Highlands region of Colombia, ca. 850 - 1500 AD. It is 5-1/4 high and depicts a male seated on a stool, holding a bowl in his left hand. He is wearing a loin cloth and is decorated with negative resist designs over the highly burnished red slip.
