Colima Bed Figure from Mexico, ca. 300 BC - 300 AD. A choice Colima anecdotal figure from West Mexico, ca. 300 BC - 300 AD. It is 4” long and depicts a female who died during child birth. She is strapped to a funerary pallet and her head is supported by a complex cushion. The nicely burnished slip of this superb example shows extensive mineral deposits and root marks.
