Struck circa 779-792/3. + ◊FFA ·: + REX +, bare headed bust right / +P IH TR Ed in angles of cross fleury with lozenge centre, saltire in lozenge. Chick 179a (this coin); SCBI –; BMC –; North –; SCBC 906. VF, lightly pitted, otherwise an unusually full round coin. Very rare.
