THESSALY, Gyrton. Early-mid 4th century BC. Æ Dichalkon (18mm, 4.72 g, 9h). Head of the hero Gyrton and head and neck of a bridled horse right / [Γ]ΥΡΤΩΝΙ Ω N around from upper right (P and Ns retrograde), head of the nymph Gyrtone left. Cf. Rogers 227 (spelling and arrangement of ethnic); cf. BCD Thessaly II 83.3 (same). VF, dark brown patina.
