SELEUKID EMPIRE. Seleukos I Nikator. 312-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (27.5mm, 16.74 g, 6h). In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Babylon I mint. Struck circa 311-305/0 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; [anchor and monogram in left field (erased in die)], EΠ monogram below throne. Cf. SC C67.2; cf. Price 3435; HGC 9, 10d; cf. Meydancikkale 2082 (same obv. die). Good Fine, lightly toned, struck with worn obverse die.

This obverse die was also used for another related issue, SC C67.3a (see Goldberg 84, lot 3025)
