Alexius I Comnenus. 1081-1118. Æ Follis (26mm, 5.19 g, 6h). Thessalonica mint. Struck 1087-1092(?). Facing bust of the Virgin Mary, with medallion of Christ on chest / Alexius standing facing, holding labarum and globus cruciger. DOC 18; SB 1909. Fine, green-brown patina, porosity. Very rare.
