SCOTLAND. James II. 1437-1460. AR Groat (22.5mm, 2.01 g, 5h). Third fleur-de-lis issue. Edinburgh mint. Crowned facing bust within tressure of eight arches; lis-tipped scepter to left, annulet stops / Long cross pattée, with trefoils and fleur-de-lis in opposing quarters. Cf. Burns fig. 504; SCBI 35 (Ashmolean & Hunterian), 679-80 var. (obv. legend; James I or II); SCBC 5225. Fine, toned, clipped.
