GUPTA: Chandragupta II, ca. 380-414, AV dinar (7.93g), Mitch-4807var, king standing, in Kushan style dress, holding bow in left hand and arrow in right hand, Garuda standard to his right / Lakshmi seated cross-legged on lotus, superb strike, much finer quality that any that has appeared in the major auctions over the past 8 years, choice EF. Rare variety, with Lakshmi's arms outstretched, and holding a straight-stem lotus in her left hand. This is about the finest example known of the Archer type of Chandragupta II.
