BAHAWALPUR: Sadiq Muhammad II, 1809-1826, AR rupee (11.11g), Bahawalpur, AH1240 year 40, KM-263. A-C3142, in the name of Mahmud Shah Durrani, from this date onward the "regnal" year is just a repetition of the Hijri year on the obverse, VF, ex Paul Stevens Collection. After a hiatus of 15 years, the mint of Bahawalpur once again begain striking silver coinage in AH1239 and continued in the name of the Mahmud Shah Durrani until AH1251, after which anonymous dar al-islam coinage was introduced.
