BAHAWALPUR: Muhammad Bahawal III, 1826-1852, AR rupee (11.07g), Bahawalpur, AH1241 year 42, KM-263. A-C3142, in the name of Mahmud Shah Durrani, very rare date, choice EF to About Unc, ex Paul Stevens Collection. After a hiatus of 15 years, the mint of Bahawalpur once again began striking silver coinage in AH1239 and continued in the name of the Mahmud Shah Durrani until AH1251, after which anonymous dar al-islam coinage was introduced.
