SPAIN: Felipe III, 1598-1621, AE 2 maravedis (4.56g), ND (1618), Cal-895, struck at Toledo for use in Oran during the period of Spanish occupation, on roughly produced octagonal planchet, Fine to VF. The first Spanish period lasted from 1509-1708 after which the city fell to the Ottomans. It returned to Spanish rule again from 1732-1792.
