BUWAYHID: Mu'izz al-Dawla Ahmad, 939-967, AR dirham (3.77g), Tikrit, AH350, A-1545, Treadwell-Ta350 (this piece), citing 'Izz al-Dawla (heir-apparent) and Rukn al-Dawla as suzerain, some weakness, Fine to VF, RRR, ex Spink Zürich Auction 31, Lot 229 (June 1989). This piece remains the only reported Buwayhid dirham struck at Tikrit (Takrit). It was last sold at Islamic Coin Auction 26, Lot 471, for £680 (about $1145), August 2014.
