GREAT MONGOLS: Chingiz Khan, 1206-1227, AV dinar (5.90g) (Ghazna), AH618, A-1964, with the name Chingiz Khan fully clear, about 25% flat strike, little actual wear, same dies as the four pieces we sold in our Auction 10 (Lots 757-760), strong VF, R. From the circa 1996 hoard, as are virtually all known dinars of Ghazna 618. The hoard allegedly contained between 150 and 200 examples, all from the same pair of dies.

Estimate: 2,500-3,000 USD
