DURRANI: Sulaiman Shah, 1772, AR rupee (11.40g), Ahmadshahi (=Qandahar), AH1186 year 1 (numeral), A-3096, KM-118, 1 testmark, nice strike, choice VF, RRR, ex Paul Stevens Collection. Sulaiman Shah was raised to the throne at Qandahar by the vizier of the deceased Ahmad Shah, but was speedily dethroned by the supporters of Taimur Shah, who on this occasion transferred the capital from Qandahar to Kabul, where it has remained ever since.
