TANG: Shun Tian, rebel, 758-761, AE 100 cash (19.98g), H-14.147var, crescent below on reverse, light encrustation, VF, RR, ex Zhao Quanzhi Collection. Shi Siming (Shun Tian) was a general of the Tang Dynasty who followed his childhood friend An Lushan in rebelling against Tang, and who later succeeded An Lushan's son An Qingxu as emperor of the Yan state that An Lushan had established. He was killed by his own troops in the spring of 761. As number 1422 in volume 3 of the Shanghai Encyclopedia ("Daxi", Zhong Guo Li Dai Hou Xi). This variety is not listed in Hartill.
