Danish Colony - Christian IX Prooflike 20 Cents 1878 PL65 NGC, Copenhagen mint, KM71. Superbly struck details, with fully mirrored fields and scattered russet toning. We have never quite understood the "Prooflike" status listed by KM and NGC, as these DWI coins are obviously much more than just PL issues when you compare them to the normal Mint State coins. They have all of the characteristics of Proofs. None have been certified finer then this Gem example.
